Description
A sirloin tip roast is a cut of beef that comes from the hindquarter of the animal. Specifically, it comes from the top of the sirloin, adjacent to the round or hind leg. This particular cut is relatively lean, with low fat content, and has a relatively coarse texture. Sirloin tip roasts are often cooked slowly at low heat to help tenderize the meat, and they can be used for a variety of dishes including pot roast, stews, and sandwiches.
